北京大学大纽约地区校友会将于2024年3月11日（周一）美东时间晚7:30举办未名传承第十七期活动：宏观分析、货币政策以及投资策略。本次活动将以线下讲座和讨论的形式在曼岛中城举办。届时，校友郭胜北将分享宝贵经验，为“未名传承”项目续写辉煌。值得一提的是，主讲人郭胜北和主持人汤漪均担任过北京大学大纽约地区校友会理事长。多名往期未名传承活动主讲人也会出席。本次活动向所有人开放，购票不限学校。

●讲座内容:
从2008年金融危机开始，美联储改变了货币体系管理机制，从之前的scarce reserve (稀缺准备金)转入了abundant reserve（充足准备金）系统，经过了2009年和2020年开始的两轮Quantitative Easing (QE) 和随后的Taper和Quantitative Tightening (QT)，货币管理结构不断完善，理论认知不断提高，在两次危机中直接提供了对金融体系的支持。这种美联储的新货币结构，更在2020年危机之后，促进了美国经济复苏，对美国重新确立在全球经济体系的中心地位起到了巨大推动作用。
这次讲座从下面三点论述：
1、2008-2019，第一轮QE，Taper，QT对应的货币管理结构变化和产生的全球经济和金融市场影响；
2、2020-2024，第二轮货币体系变化和其对美国经济和金融市场优势的长期利好影响；
3、美国的货币结构、财政政策和产业与贸易政策组合重新确立了美国在全球体系的中心地位，并在与中国的竞争中确立了明确的优势，同时也有一些潜在隐患。演讲者将结合自己在美国和中国的实际投资经验，从货币经济学、宏观经济学和金融理论的角度全面论证美国货币结构和宏观经济结构的变化。
主讲人、主持人简介
Shengbei Guo 郭胜北
Mr Guo is founder and CEO of GSB Podium Advisors. He served as Deputy General Manager of Tianfeng Securities from 2019 to 2022. He was the Deputy General Manager of Huajing Securities from 2017 to 2019. He worked at CITIC Securities in Beijing from 2015 to 2017, serving as the head of Alternative Investment Group and the head of Stock Investment Group. Prior to working in China, Mr Guo worked in the financial industry in New York for over 2 decades. He joined Morgan Stanley in 1992 and started his Wall Street investment career. He later joined Deutsche Bank as Managing Director responsible for proprietary trading. Later he set up GSB Podium Advisors in New York and served as CEO. Mr Guo graduated from Peking University with BS degree in Computer Science. He received his MS degree in Computer Science from Columbia University and his MBA degree from Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania.
Yi Tang 汤漪
Dr. Yi Tang is Managing Director at Wells Fargo Securities. Previously, he was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and a group head at Goldman Sachs. He is a former Co-Chair of PKUAAGNY. Dr. Tang received his PhD from UCLA and his BA in Physics from Peking University.
